ABOUT US
Secret recipe for the creation Pearlitas of Wisdom:
Amalgamate 1-part Nigerian-Beninese all-rounder with 1-part South African 2am thinker. Thereafter, add in an abundance of inspirational and thought-provoking concepts and blend in with an ounce of symbolism. Incubate for 2020 (*404 error- time units not found*) and leave to inspire the world for as long as Thanos doesn’t exist. Finish off by sprinkling little trinkets of wisdom and life’s daily pearls (lessons). And voilá! Pearlitas of Wisdom is ready to be enjoyed by you.
Symbolism behind the name:
Pearlitas of Wisdom succinctly incorporates the names of the collaborators: Pearl Oriele Perumal and Divine-Wisdom Adewumi, whilst circumventing the usual and cliché phrase: ‘Pearls of Wisdom’. ‘-Itas’ is symbolic as it is the Spanish suffix for the term ‘little’. When attached to the name Pearl, it means ‘little pearl’ (which aptly represents the stature of author Pearl) but when read with the whole name; it translates to little pearls of wisdom (the main concept behind the blog: to offer little trinkets of knowledge and positivity). Spanish is the language that Pearl and Wisdom bond over and is symbolic of the friendship that they share.
Who are we and what do we stand for?
Pearlitas of Wisdom is an open platform which aims to provide hope for humanity, by offering words of encouragement, wisdom and positivity. We also aim to connect the world to opportunities and information that are not necessarily readily available and express local talent. By providing tips and tricks from our life experiences, we wish to inspire, motivate and nurture the leaders of tomorrow by serving as the north star in guiding the lost souls of today.
What the blog represents?
A virtual recluse and comfortable space for people who find themselves in a labyrinth of bewilderment, loss and desolation. It represents a cocoon nurturing the development and metamorphosis of the crestfallen and disheartened individuals by offering positivity, enlightenment and little trinkets of wisdom, allowing people to walk the walk (proceeding in good faith), depart from procrastination station, whilst still achieving their dreams.
